On Thanksgiving Eve, Tara, an orphan long exploited by her ruthless boss Margaret, finds a human finger in her takeout from her go-to neighborhood smokehouse. The police investigation descends into a perplexing locked-room mystery, and eventually concludes that Margaret and the debt-ridden shop owner died in a mutual killing.
