Disguised as a beggar, Aurelian Storme leaves Olympus to safeguard the last Zeus-blooded line. Selene, noble by birth, chooses him over an old lord, and after Aurelian is summoned back, she gives birth to twins. His promised seven-day absence turns into seven years in the mortal realm, leaving Selene to face shame and mistreatment on her own. When he returns at last, Aurelian reveals himself as the supreme God-King and descends with Olympus's might to defend his wife and children.
